Corryong Covid cases confirmed at seven

There are currently 7 Positive COVID cases in Corryong from 3 different households.
Since Saturday, a total of 272 COVID tests have been performed at Corryong Health and targeting close contacts who have been contacted by the Department of Health contact tracers or those who have a family member or close contact who is COVID positive or those who have flu-like symptoms.
“We encourage everyone to continue to check the Dept. of Health website (https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/case-alerts-public-exposure-sites) as any Tier 1 exposure sites will be listed there once contact tracing and risk assessments are completed,” said Corryong Health CEO, Dominic Sandilands.

“The reason there are no exposure sites in Corryong currently is because contact tracing is still underway or sites have been considered low risk exposure settings,” Mr Sandilands explained.
“The locations are listed by the department only when there is a higher risk people may have been exposed to COVID-19.
Not all exposure sites are published online and not all sites visited by a COVID-positive person are considered high risk. Schools are no longer being listed as they are currently locked down with no one coming in or out.
Contact tracing includes information provided by the people who are confirmed cases and can include analysis of QR codes and video footage.
“We encourage everyone to continue to check the Dept. of Health websites from both sides of the border,” Mr Sandilands added.
