One new Covid positive case has been identified in Corryong, a household contact of the two positive cases reported on Saturday.  The initial case was acquired from someone outside the region.
It is believed that there are two exposure sites in Corryong and health officials are confident that contact tracing will identify any people at risk.
“Contact tracing is continuing and more information will be made available as it becomes known,” said Corryong Health CEO, Dominic Sandilands.
“Anyone identified as a close contact will be contacted directly by the tracing team.”
Corryong residents and any visitors to the town have been advised to check the list of exposure sites regularly at www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/case-alerts-public-exposure-sites, although people need to be aware that there is a lag in the information being updated.
Following the outbreak of positive cases, Corryong Health has has ramped up its testing which is available from 9am to 12pm.
“We are asking that people only come forward to be tested if they have been to an exposure site or been told to by the Department of Health or have symptoms,” Mr Sandilands said.
